When You Wish Upon A Star

We got off to an early start Thursday morning. We left my parent's house at 7:15am and headed over to EPCOT. We listened to classic Disney songs on the iPod throughout the whole drive there. For some reason, Mackinzie has taken a liking to the song "Gaston" from Beauty and the Beast, so we listened to that quite a few times. Upon arrival at EPCOT, we headed to the Norway section of the park to have breakfast with the princesses. We got to see Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), Aurora (from Sleeping Beauty), Snow White, Mulan, and Mary Poppins. Kinzie got her picture with each of the princesses, along with their autographs. After breakfast, we went to The Seas section of EPCOT to find Nemo and all his ocean friends. Crush the turtle taught Kinzie how to "talk turtle" duuuude!! While me, Laura, and my dad got on the big-kid ride, "Soarin'", Kinzie and Mimi stood in line to meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip & Dale, and Goofy. Again, Kinzie got her picture with each of them and all of their autographs. Around that time, the rain started to pour. We went under cover for most of the storm and then headed over to the Magic Kingdom.
We had a lunch appointment at Cinderella's castle. Kinzie was so excited to meet Cinderella! Her main question for every princess she met was "where's Cinderella?".

She finally got her wish. Lunch with Cinderella was very nice. She brought along some of her princess friends. This time Kinzie got to meet Jasmine (from Aladdin), and Belle, Aurora, and Snow White... again!
After lunch, we hit the rides at the Magic Kingdom. Kinzie loved all of them! We did Peter Pan's Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Jungle Cruise, Snow White's Scary Adventure, Dumbo's Flight, and Cinderella's Carousel. We almost took her on the Haunted Mansion, and I really think she could have handled it (she was being very brave all day), but we figured we might pay for it later with nightmares or something, so Grandpop opted to keep her while me, Laura and Mimi got on. None of the lines we waited in were very long. We probably waited for no more than 30 minutes at the most for a ride, but with most of them, we were able to walk through all the empty lanes to the front.

Here is Mackinzie with Minnie Mouse at EPCOT. At home, Kinzie has a Minnie Mouse plate and fork that she eats with everyday, so it was cool for her to finally meet her eating buddy in person!

Here we are meeting Belle just before breakfast at EPCOT. Kinzie came dressed as Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Belle was very nice and by the end of our day, we had run into her three times!

Mimi rode with Kinzie on the Dumbo ride... one of the few times that me and Laura got to get on a ride alone.

Just after the Dumbo ride, we were heading to see the Country Bear Jamboree, when this happened.....

Our little girl had had enough and she passed out in the stroller. Grandpop also wanted a break, so the two of them sat by a bench together while Laura and I got two 'big-kid' rides in before leaving: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain.

I tried to have this blog up yesterday, but the computer kept acting up on me, so here it is, one day late.

My cousin Casey arrived here last night, along with her boyfriend, Brian and their dog, Nala. We spent the evening playing Nintendo Wii and just hanging around the house. It was a relaxing day in Florida.
